The You Matter Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to changing lives, donating time to causes such as supporting domestic violence survivors, and advancing humanity through various nonprofit initiatives. My mission is to better society and humanity by providing education and training in trauma-informed care, peer support, collaboration, and empowerment to all individuals including children, individuals, families, aging adults, and people with disabilities in need of services. At the core of our organization is the belief that everyone matters, regardless of their circumstances.
I’m Susie Delo, the founder of the You Matter Foundation–a trauma-informed and peer coaching organization that also focuses on situational awareness and self-defense. I left my career of 20 years as Agency Manager for the T L Robertson Insurance Agency to pursue my purpose and mission from God to help others thrive.
I am honored to share my journey with you today, as it is a testament to the power of resilience and the transformative nature of entrepreneurship. My story is one of overcoming adversity and finding purpose in the pain. I firmly believe that God took the mess of my life and turned it into a message for others.

Growing up, I faced numerous challenges and hardships. However, these experiences ignited a fire within me to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I realized that there was a significant need for Mental Wellness (Fitness) for trauma-informed support and coaching, as well as empowering individuals with situational awareness and self-defense skills.

Through my journey, I have discovered the power of collaboration, mentorship, and creating a supportive network with others. Among many others, I have formed a valuable partnership with the Founder of Underground Moves, a specialized employee assistance program for survivors of domestic violence. It is through our struggles that we find the strength to rise above and make a difference. By sharing my story and providing trauma-informed coaching, I aim to inspire others to embrace their own journeys and find their purpose by encouraging them to share their stories.

Don't spend so much time bracing for the storm that you forget to bask in the sunlight. ☀️
We often miss the beauty of today because we’re too busy worrying about the clouds of tomorrow. If the sun is out, let it warm your face. Enjoy the clarity, the warmth, and the peace while it’s here.
Don't let the fear of what might happen steal the joy of what is happening. Live in the light. ✨

Embracing the freedom of being different is a deeply personal and spiritual journey. It's about recognizing that God has created each of us with unique qualities, perspectives, and experiences that are meant to shine in the world. When we embrace our differences, we honor the divine design that God has woven into our very being.
In a world that often encourages conformity, choosing to stand out is a testament to our faith and trust in God's plan for us. It's a liberating experience, knowing that we are living authentically according to the purpose He has set for us. This freedom allows us to express our true selves without fear of judgment, knowing that we are loved unconditionally by our Creator.
Being different is a gift that allows us to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table, fostering creativity and innovation. It enables us to navigate life's challenges with resilience, as we rely on God's strength and guidance to stay true to who we are.
Moreover, when we embrace our uniqueness, we inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect of acceptance and love. We contribute to a world where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued for who they truly are, just as God intended.
Ultimately, the freedom in being different is about living a life that aligns with our God-given values and passions, making a positive impact in the world by being exactly who we are meant to be.

💙💛🌻💙💛🌻I recently conducted a situational awareness and self-defense class in Lockport, New York. The class was a great success, and I had the opportunity to demonstrate various safety products, including pepper sprays, stun guns, and "Hear a Pin Drop" alarms. Participants found the session valuable and chose to purchase these items, appreciating the added security they provide.
Additionally, they were impressed with the Safe Hearts board game, which is designed to foster safety awareness in a fun and engaging way.
You can order all these products and more at this link: damselindefense.net/YouMatter
